Hi,

New to this forum and very new to the world of hi-fi audio.
I want to buy a pair of outdoor speakers and here are my choices:
Kicker KB6000
Yamaha ns-aw294
(price wise they are the same)

Can someone give me an advice about which are better?

Thank you,
Borra.

I haven't heard either of those but I have heard the Boston Acoustics Voyager series. The refurb brings it down into the same pricerange - Voyager-4-Outdoor-Speakers

Hi All,

Thank you very much for your reply.
Unfortunately I have to choose from these two. I cannot post links (too new in the forum) but you can find very easy details about the specs of the loudspeakers on the vendor's site.
My question is, given the two pair and their specs, which are better?

Thanks,
Borra.

I have the Yamaha outdoor speakers & love them! Never heard the Kickers but that company isnt known for home audio. Their outdoor speakers may be great but i didnt even know they made them.

My vote goes to the Yamahas because ive heard a handful of their different outdoor speakers & liked their sound.

I have the 8" JBL Controls outside of my house:
JBL Control 28 Speaker - Black (Pair) CONTROL 28 B&H Photo Video

They are a little more money, but I live right on the sea and they are exposed to salt spray, direct salt water during storms, intense florida sun, and still, two years later, are working like new. Also the sound quality is excellent for the type of speaker, at some point I might add their outdoor subwoofer, but even the bottom end isn't too bad for outdoors. I power them with a Crown XLS402 and they do great.
