Hi. This is my first time on the site and my first post. I'm hoping for a little advice. I recently picked up some Infinity Classia c336 refurbs. Clicking around after reading the pro review on them here, I noticed the "first look" at and introductory price on the EMP E5ti towers.
I'm a complete noob to decent audio, and am just building my first theater. I picked up an infinity beta center channel refurb cheap, which I can replace later when I know what I'm doing; I also thought I might add a Hsu sub, probably a Vtf-2 mk 2. I've only unboxed one of the Classia towers, and could probably succeed at selling and getting most of my money back out of them.
THE QUESTION is, would you guys ditch the Classias for the E5Tis? Assuming a comparable price for each set? Anyone heard both? I know the EMPs are new and probably not too many have heard them yet. I stand little to no chance of hearing them in person while they're on promotion, so I thought I'd take a shot in the dark here with you all.
I understand the Classias' original msrp was considerably higher than full retail on the EMPs, but I guess in my ignorance I'm balancing the Classias' original pricepoint against the (I assume) superior reputation of EMP and the very enthusiastic response to the E5Tis sound, given their price, in the initial review.
