Adding two external speaker to LG HDYV set

I just bought an LG 47-inch LCP or is it LCT, how knows, anyway the speakers on the cabinest seem worthless so would like to add two external speakers and hope that helps. Speakers only not a sound system.

Can someone tell me where I plug in these speakers and if i should turn the set speakers of or amake any other adjustments.

if there is an audio out (red and white rca jacks, that say out), you can buy external speakers.

external speaker options:
1) powered speakers
2) passive speakers with integrated amp

how much are you willing to spend?
