I already have an HDTV widescreen 26" Panasonic and a DVD player. Now I want to add 5.1 speakers to create a surround sound experience.
Music is not planned. Strictly TV watching. Not looking to spend more than $3-500. Room is 12x20, but watching area 12x12.
Can you just add speakers to this set-up? Does it require a receiver for power?
Any thoughts on setup and equipment recommendations?
