Hi Everyone,
I'd like some free advice. I have an old system from the early 90's: Marantz Model SR-73 AV Surround Stereo Receiver and Magnaplanar MG 1-c Magnapan speakers.

I'd like to add center channel speaker and sub-woofer and do so as economically as possible.

At my local stereo supply, therre was not much choice; Paradigm speakers totalling to about $500. This is in my ballpark, but I'd like to know your opinions, warnings, and suggestions.

Thanks in advance to anyone who responds! Have a good one!

Magnaplanars don't mix with other speakers. You will need to purchase Magnaplanar centers.

They will need a good sub, SVS or HSU.

You can't add speaker to you Maggies without spending more cash than in your budget.

If you can't afford to do it properly, leave well alone, or it will be money down the drain, and make matters worse and not improved.
