My wife has after many years decided she wants to move furniture around in our family room, this means my av connections (wall plates, banana plugs, ethernet and so on) will now be in the wrong place. I would like to create another set of the same connection points across the room ( about 5 metres) so as to re connect the same equipment. I have access under floor and in roof to the cables already connected. My question is: Can i simply cut cables and join a new run of cable to the new alternate location and if so what recommendations for the most efficient means of joining.
