Adding a new AV receiver to my home system - is it this easy?

I want to replace my aging Bose 3-2-1 system that is getting pretty long in the tooth. I'm looking at the Sony STRDH550 reciever that is priced right for my budget and has 4 HDMI ports.

I have an LG HD TV, Blu-Ray player, Time Warner cable and a Roku Streaming Stick that I want to connect to the the receiver over HDMI.

Since everything has HDMI, is it as simple as connecting everything over HDMI and that's it?

Pretty much that as far as your sources/display goes. You're changing over to normal speakers/subs, too? Looking at a 321 Series II it appears to have a proprietary speaker/bass module setup that won't work with your proposed avr.

Thanks for the note back on my question. Yes, you're right, the Bose does have their proprietary speaker setup. I'm going to move the Bose setup to another room for use with a turntable and CD player and then re-purpose another set of Bose speakers that I took out of service for awhile. They were connected, by wire, to an older stereo that went belly up so I'm hoping they'll work with the new AV receiver.

I currently have my cable, Blu-Ray and Roku Streaming Stick plugged into my TV and then have optical audio out to the Bose. I'm seeing alot of lip sync issues and some times that the audio just cuts out when I press the Bose remote. I'm thinking it's time to replace it and get something new and all HDMI.
