I have an old (1980-81-82?) Realistic (dont knock it) EQ. Has not been used in 20 + years. Connected to a (same era) Technics Stereo amp reciever. ($400.00 + back then) Didnt have CD's, this is/was for copying/'editing' between tape recorders. I dont know signal strength output from tape decks. Whether I need to boost output from this EQ.

I recently bought a 5 input 1 ouput hdmi switchbox that outputs the audio portion. I want to output audio through this EQ & then to a "not av" stereo reciever. Anyone think this might work?

The Yamaha tsr 7850 audio output (at the voice level) is simply unacceptable, & I can still, and will return it.

I dont know which data on the specs page is relevant, has input sensivity but ? output.

I can scan & post the specs page, front of the EQ (various switches & controls)

Yes, you could use the EQ between the HDMI switcher and input of a receiver.

However, if the stereo receiver has a tape monitor loop, that’s the preferred place to insert the equalizer.
