Add vtf2 mk3 or vtf 3 mk3/4

I currently have one vtf2 mk3 in a fairly large open room (somewhere in the 20'x42' range with the open kitchen). I want to add a second sub to the living room and was figuring based on size getting the vtf3 mk3/4, but wouldn't upgrade both at the same time due to budget. Would it be better to get that one or match the original sub if I was to leave the first one the same (matching the two subs)

What you don't want to do when mixing subwoofers is to use one that is substantially more powerful than the other, but the vtf2 and 3 are pretty close in performance, I think they can be used together with no problems. The VTF3's big advantage is in the lowest frequencies at the bottom of their tuning point. In the end I would rather have a VTF2 and a VTF3 in one system rather than just two VTF2s, the two systems will be a lot alike except the one with the VTF3 will have a bit stronger deep bass.

+1 on the above recommendation. All will be the same except you'll gain more in the low end. Thats a good thing!

HSU kicks @ss!!

Hmm, I was thinking about this myself since the HSU vtf2 mk3 was just above 500 right now....I already have one and wanted to add another down the line.
