I have one ksw12 sub placed behind my main listening position. I sit about 20 feet from my TV. I am thinking of adding a second sub and placing it in the corner right behind my TV and Klipsch RF speakers. Is this the best position for my 2nd sub in a large 25x30 room. Should I match my current sub and get another klipsch? Do I just split the LFE line at my Pioneer Elite VSX72 receiver? Thanks for the advice.

It depends.

I used to run 2 subs, but they were not the same. So I put the bigger louder one in my normal sub spot, and but the weaker one behind me. If you get the same sub, try putting them in a balanced layout. I don't know how your system is set up, but I would put one in each front corner or rear corner.

If you have your display in a corner, which I don't recomend, I would put one behind the TV, and the other behind the listening position.

The Klipsch KSW-12 is a weak subwoofer for your size room. If you can swing it, I would get a larger subwoofer and use it in your current Subwoofer position.

How to connect dual subs

How would the dual subs be connected to the Pioneer VSX74? There is only one plug for the sub. Do you wire them to one another line-in to line-out to line in and the final line out to the Pioneer?

The usual way is to use a y-splitter off of the sub output.

You can do the 'line in->line out->line in->line out', but it's easier to just use a Y splitter or adapter as jaxvon suggested.

Here's an example:

Male RCA to the receiver, two sub cables from each sub to the female RCA connectors and yer good.. -TD
