I know what you mean... I don't know if he's gay (not that I care), but he's pretty damn flamboyant and when he's "out there" it's a bit much. He's a bit much, but his talent is undeniable in my opinion anyway.

He has pretty extensive experience in theater - you can browse YouTube and find all kinds of stuff with him in it.

But that's the one thing that bugs me about some the contestants from the last few years. I thought that the show was about ameture talent,or undiscovered talent. Last year's winner, David Cook, had already attempted a recording career, as well as a few other contestants. I know I shouldn't begrudge anyone who gets the chances these guys are getting, but it just shows you how much viable talent falls by the wayside.
