Irvrobinson Audioholic Spartan Aug 31, 2012 #4 I can't believe this is really ADTG's wife. For example: 1. I can't believe he would allow himself to be referred to as an audiophile. ADTG is a disciple of Peter Aczel, who uses the term audiophile in a very derogatory context. 2. One of the blogs mentions the audiophile worrying about WAF, which obviously ADTG has no sense of whatsoever. This is a man that has a wall-full of large, often ugly, high-end speakers. Not to mention that pair of FA 18.0 subs he tries to high in corners. WAF? He laughs at WAF. 3. One blog mentioned that he was happy with his system. Singular. We all know ADTG has more systems than an average hifi store. He has more systems in one room than some hifi stores. I rest my case. I think you're pulling our leg.

davidtwotrees Audioholic General Sep 1, 2012 #6 ADTG! Omg! That is funny. I kind of left the brother hood for a while for $$ purposes. Now I am back in my new career and making cash again. Still my wife has seen glimpses of what we go through and YOUR wife describes it perfectly. You need to give here a nice foot massage. Here's the one I like- I also noticed booth space was available starting at $500. This seems a very reasonable price for someone (aka me) to set up shop with a sign that reads: Psychiatric help 5¢. The doctor is IN. All proceeds from my booth would go to a charitable organization for the rehabilitation of audiophiles – both those who have been emotionally wounded by unappreciative family members, as well as those who have lost one or more of their faculties trying to rig a system that only dolphins and dogs could possibly appreciate.

Click to expand... I don't think that's really ADTG's wife's blog. I think they are giving him a hard time. She talks about him building amps and cables. If that is ADTG, then he has been holding out on us. Also, she talks about a room full of the original boxes and we all know ADTG doesn't have room to keep boxes with all those speakers taking up real estate.

Click to expand... But you missed something (BIG). Collecting cars, jewelry, coins, stamps and guns gives you an investment with a good return or better on that investment. I know my 1969 Z28, and 1963 Impala SS (409) both with matching numbers is worth a lot more than I paid for these cars and the same thing can be said for the vintage coins and guns I own. Speakers and amps, not going to happen. But I would like having a room full of great sounding speakers if I spent a lot of time inside, which I don't, maybe when I'm 70 or 80.. You would be better off collecting outrageous audio cables for Ripley's Believe It or Not.
