Well, the first one is easy for me - best 'true story' movie: GoodFellas.

The second is way too hard, but if I can cheat I'd say the pair of Clarice Starling/Hannibal Lecter from Silence of the Lambs are my favorite lead character - and their interaction was so important that I feel justified lumping them together.

Odd, I just watched that movie a couple days ago.

I rated all my DVD's and sold all of them that weren't in the top 40. Obviously I kept Silence of the Lambs.
