Acoustech h100/velodyne drs3750r/hsu vtf-2. Taking into account price...

Hello all, I'm a new member and I just had a question about which would you guys would choose. I'm able to pick up either a six month old accutech h100 for $50, a velodyne drs3750r with remote for $80, or a hsu vtf-2 mk1 for $150. I've done some research , but would like to get some feedback from members about what you guys would do.

Of those 3 I'd go with the VTF-2 MK1. Hsu specializes in subwoofers. I don't know much about the other 2.

The VTF-2 mk1 will likely be the highest performing in that bunch, but it is going to be very old. That series of subs started production 17 years ago. For that reason, I would go with the H100. It is a solid budget sub, it is not very old and so shouldn't run into any age-related reliability issues anytime soon.

Velodyne makes (made?) some nice subs as they seem to be heading into auto driving car tech now IIRC, but the sub listed was not one of their better models (something like their DD series would be a different thing).

Was wondering how old the Hsu might be....

i have an H100-II it's great for small room, ok for medium, bad for large
i use it in my PC 12x13 room, it does a decent job a pressurizing a room that small but don't expect anything bellow 20hz even in a small room. I tested it in my large room for fun one and there wasn't much response below 28-29 hz. it's still a decent entry level sub though....... 6 month old for 50$ i would grab it until you can afford a nice sub.

side note: make sure you demo it, they known for blowing fuses

Given the Hsu is 13 years old, and priced as though it were half that age, the best option of the three is probably the H-100. How large is your room (HWD)? That's key when determining if a subwoofer will work correctly.
