I am about to purchase the panny VT25. This is their top of the line model with 3D. I just can't decide what size to get. I am stuck in between the 58 or 65 inch.

As of right now, I do not own a TV since my tube TV went and i'm going nuts. I can buy the 58 inch today. But the 65 I cannot afford right now due to the price difference. So here are my options.

1. Buy a smaller 40 inch or so put it in the LR until I can afford the 65 inch. Then move the 40 inch into the bedroom. I was planning on getting a bedroom TV anyways.

2. Buy the 58 and deal with it. Will I notice a night a day differnce between the two sizes? 7 inch difference.

3. Hold out and don't buy a TV until I can afford the 65 inch. Something I don't want to do.

My couch is about 14.5 feet away from the tv. I won't have any room to move either the TV or couch in or back any further. I also have 8 foot cellings.

My concern about the 65 is I don't want it to overtake the room and look gigantic. I also don't know how long I will be living here so if I move I will need to find a smilar sized living room to accomidate the TV. The last thing is the TV stands for the 65 are very expensive, and hard to find ones that hold all components.

I've seen 65's, and yeah it's a commitment. One I'd be happy to make. Are you? A commitment, but impressive.

You have more wiggle room than you think. You'd basically have to be at 7' or closer to surpass the recommended THX viewing angle. This doesn't even take into account that many videophiles blow past the THX rec to being with, as with yours truly.

65" is 26% bigger than 58"

I vote for the 65VT25. In fact, you have to be at least as close as 8.5' away to get the full benefit of 1080p with the 65". The 58", you'd have to be another foot closer, at about 7.5 ft. Assuming 20/20 of course.

I would wait until you can afford the P65VT25. I think you well see some good sale prices this winter.

I'm 10ft from my 65vt25 and well move my seating 2ft closer for movies. It's an amazing TV.
