? about no video with HDMI hookup from DVD to 605

I have an Onkyo 605 unit with a Sony DVD burner. For some reason I can't seem to get picture when using the HDMI to hook up the DVD to the 605. If I hook up componant it works fine. Any ideas or settings to play with on either? The picture looks like a rainbow; sound works fine. My Sat. receiver HDMI to 605 works just fine.

I assume you have to assign the HDMI input on the 605 to the DVD player. That's how is works with the 805.

I did that and the picture still looks like a rainbow.

Try a different HDMI cable and a different HDMI in on your receiver.
