Abnormal Reciever Input

Hello, I have never had a problem with my Yamaha RX-450 Receiver. Yesterday I turned on the power and the input began cycling from one option to the next without stopping (tuner > CD > Phono > etc) -- completely on its own. I never touched the knob. It will not stop going from one to the next. Suggestions? Thanks.

Well, it sound like it's computer took a vacation to the Bahamas.

The first thing I would try is unplugging it for about five minutes or so. This is kinda like rebooting your computer when funky things start happenng.

If that doesn't work, check your manual for how to restore it to it's original factory settings. this will force you to go through that onerous setup procedure again but look it at this way; If you have to replace it you'll have to go through it again anyway, right?

If that doesn't fix it, you may need professional help. Not you, the receiver.

My stuff started acting funny, not long ago, and I thought it was the receiver. I removed a battery, from the remote, and the problem stopped. Put new batteries in, and all was good again. Check your's, if you haven't already.......
Good luck!
