I have been "requested" by my spousal unit to get all A/V and audio equipment off of the floor and onto the walls (we live in a small house, and floor space is at a premium). My projection TV is being replaced with a plasma shortly...speakers have to go next!
This means I have to sell my beloved American Acoustic Development (AAD)standmount speakers. I purchased the two main speakers new in 2003 (from manufacturer's stock here in Raleigh, where AAD resides). The center channel speaker was purchased slightly used at the same time. All are in fantastic condition.
The speakers are finished in lovely, lovely curly maple. Each weighs about 50 lbs. The main speakers come with matching maple and stainless stands which weigh about 100 lbs each. Their construction and performance are a testament to the meticulous (and fanatical) nature of designer Phil Jones.
I tried to attach some photos...but the rather puzzling 100-KB attachment limit for this forum prevented me (I can't get my camera to shoot that low).
I am a man on a budget, but this setup has, in my opinion, given me a little slice of high end -- both in 2-channel and in surround. I could blab on..but read the review at the following site -- it is true.

The bass you can get from these little guys is particularly stunning.
You can also go to Audio Review and read 5 user reviews of these speakers.
The original retail cost for the speakers was $3500, and the stands themselves cost $1200. I am asking $1500 for all three speakers plus stands. This is, in case you don't recognize it, a great deal.
Because of the weight of all pieces, I don't think these are shippable. I am located in Raleigh, NC, so all interested parties within driving range are welcome to come by and listen to some music. We'll have a beer.
(In case you're wondering, the only on-walls I have found that can get close to what I have are the Mythos Eights).
Let me know if you are interested! I can send you some high-res photos by e-mail. My e-mail is
