A500 volume control

i noticed on the front of the A500 there are two dials ... will those work as volume controls?

I plan to use an A500 for PC speakers (of course with software volume control)

Do I still need a pre-amp? or will those two dials work?

The Audiosource Amp One/A that I had had the same thing. They are gain controls so you can level match each channel, but they gave enough control and easy access that you could use it without a preamp. I'd guess the same for the A500.

Is this little baby contagious? Seems like it is getting very popular around here.
As Jgarcia indicated about those gain controls. Some other amps have them/had them so they would work the same on a power amp. Enjoy.
