I'm about to buy a A/V Home cinema receiver but I was wondering if the timing is perfect.

If I looked around I can hardly see any receivers with USB/Ethernet networking/WLAN/HDMI interfaces available (below 1000$)

I got the message in different stores to wait for february/march 2007 to see if the market has evolved to these new technologies.

Are there any other trends I should keep an eye on?
What is your opinion about what's going to/should happen in the 2007 A/V business?

The Consumer Electronics Show is in the beginning of Januarry and companies anounce and demo many of their upcomming products. This site has good coverage of the A/V products.

If you are interested in wireless streaming of media to the recever, you should consider using a Squeezebox 3 and a mid-fi receveiver with the audio and video features you need.
