A/V Receiver that automatically fixes lip sync

Hello All,

Just watched a home movie that had lip sync issues and it got me to thinking....

I currently have a HK AVR 7300 that allows me to change audio delay but i find that if dial in delay for one DVD or HD program I have to change it again the next time I watch something.

Does anyone know about any technology that exists which will automatically sync the audio and video?

How would the receiver know the proper amount of delay to apply? I don't think it would be possible to auto-detect it.

Then again, a few years ago I thought skipping commercials automatically was impossible, and now my MythTV box does it with remarkable accuracy.
