How much money can you afford to spend? Often, I like Yamaha receivers for their value, but the exact price point we are looking at would help.

True, need to know how much. I like the Onkyo TXSR606B, I feel like you get alot of bang for the buck. They are around $425 at HHGregg, haven't checked ebay or anything. I also like the Denon AVR 688, which is what I have, and you can pick those up for around $290. They only do DD and DTS and the onkyo will handle the newer formats. The Denon AVR 689 is nicer, but a bit more expensive. Any of these receivers plus the Yamahas the guy above mentioned would work great. Probably about all the bose would want anyway. I am using two bose 301 series 3 as surrounds and soon hope to phase them out with more definitives.
