So I am a bit frustrated with some of the reviews ive been reading on the net and am hoping you guys can lend some advise. I have about $600 in Amazon Credit to spend on a receiver that will go with my klipsch hd theater 500 (5.1) speakers. I also still have my 1983 Bose 903 series speakers, but they do not get much use. I am getting rid of my old onkyo receiver from 2000... which doesn't work properly.

While searching for reviews, I found that most websites I've come across are real outdated with not too much on what the future can bring. I am a tech junkie and really get excited with "what's next". The featured upgrades for the new models, don't seem to be much except for internet apps and airplay. I cannot find any opinons that state "this is much better than this because", except for CNET which is still reviewing last year's models.

I am hoping you guys can tell me what is the best choice for my budget based on future features as I want it to still be relevant or at least upgradeable in years to come.

Keep in mind I will probably ask "Why?" because I tend to get buyers remorse and I'll have to justify the purchase lol.

The receiver that has caught my eye would probably be the new Sony str DN1030, however most people are saying Sony cannot deliver.

Klipcsh tend to be easy to drive, and with 600 you'd be in the sweet spot for bang for buck. I'd suggest Onkyo but they tend to have issues so next up for me would be the best Denon your 600 could buy.

Im looking at the 616 with the Wifi and bluetooth adapter for $450 total... or the Sony dn1030 for $499 The review on CNET looks good, but the UI is an issue.
