I took a chance on the mostly unknown Premier Acoustics subwoofer PA 10.
I am extremely pleased with the musicality and movie drama it produces.
It's clean, the bass is tight and not boomy. It's adjustment of volume and crossover on the front is a plus since I have it in a cabinet.
