A pair of 70s era PSB on sale at Kiji

I remember seeing lots of speakers in that era with a step baffled design. I just wonder if tehre was any advantage to that as I don't see too many designs like that any more.

Time alignment is still somewhat common, but usually takes the form of a sloped baffle these days. However, Source Technologies makes one that has the step like that.
