AV123.com has started shipping the first product in their new X-series, the X-sub. It should be a high performance per dollar subwoofer and looks better then anthing else in its $200 price range. Check out the real wood veneer.

Looks interesting.

Are they going to offer a 10" model?

Nice clean, simple design, and a pretty small footprint. 28Hz claimed, and it looks like a pretty hefty surround, so it must have a fair amount of excursion. 38lbs? My mains weigh 38lbs...each :)

I think that should be highlighted, because as good as AV123 subs sound, I don't think any of them reached thier actual low end extension spec.

It appears HSU has some 8" competition. It's kind of strange how the design of the box resembles the STF-1. Hmmm. They also borrowed the Cadence subs name of XSUB. Very original.

28hz is probably -3dB expected in a typical room when corner loaded. Actual anechoec performance would probably show it not going as low, and it will be room dependent as to whether it will actually get that low or not. Still, I'd be curious to hear it.
