A little stumped

I have a Panasonic HTIB which is also a 5 disc dvd changer which can upconvert DVD's. Now for my question: I am buying the Pioneer Elite VSX-81TXV Receiver and i'm getting the Premier Accoustics 5.1 Surround speaker package. Can i still play DVD's thru my panasonic but have the audio come thru the new speakers i buy or is the sound going to try and come thru the panasonic speakers?

I'm sure the answer is just un plug all the speakers from the panasonic and just use as the DVD player.Correct?

Also the panasoni has 1 HDMI out the Pioneer hass 2 in 1 out and my HDTV has 2 in. How would i hook all the HDMI up for all the components?

Check your manual.

Does the Panasonic offer either a coaxial digital or a toslink out for the signal from the DVD player? If so, then yes. Those would be the digital signal path from the DVD's output to your receiver's input.
