A humble request for a Moderator

Greetings Audioholics!

Rather than cluttering up your board with unnecessary fluff posts to get my post count high enough to create a new classified thread I figure I might try simply asking, so...

Please, oh great mods of audioholics, take mercy upon this weary man and grant thy blessing so that i may post in thine most gloooooooorious classifieds section!

Will show receipts. I literally want what I paid for to the penny... I feel that making a profit on these would be unethical as they were purchased through a friends affiliated employee purchase program. I could return them but I don't want to offend my friend or go through the hassle. Plus, it is nice to lend someone a hand when someones else has landed your his/her hand.

I'll do any sort of verification or whatnot anyone might require.

So, pretty please may I post in the classifieds section?

I bet they would bend their rules if you would bend the rules of normal sales. For anybody with more than 500 posts and 1 year on the forums you send them the item first and after it checks out they will send you payment.

What's wrong with eBay? Maybe we should have a site called GeneBay.

AVSForum has paid classifieds (extremely low rates) there is also Audiogon. Just tag a few bucks onto the price to cover costs and good luck.

Or you can follow the rules here and participate.

Zumbo I laughed out loud when I saw that pic, which hurt because I'm home sick! I sent someone a a text message pic of myself that looks pretty much like that a few weeks ago when they texted me and asked me something stupid... I think it conveyed the "WTF?" look.

Hi all and thanks for the responses.

Kai > I'm a modestly active member of other enthusiasts forums (badgerandblade.com) and over yonder we get more annoyed when people fluff their posts for the classifieds sub-forum minimum post requirement. If they ask and provide some form of validation (ex: like a picture with a handwritten note & the items to audioholics with todays date) we just let them post to keep down clutter.

Yeah ... people buy this stuff all the time and then don't use it ... it's sad.

I'm a fairly regular member of other enthusiasts forums and sometimes we let it slide so I figured I'd ask.

I've been posting genuine replies and questions rather than any form of post padding and I hope that comes through in the posts I have been making.

I'm just keen to get these items out of my tiny apartment before the company I have coming to stay with me for a week arrives on Tuesday.

On the bright side, a local friend has taken interest in the stereo and is getting back to me tonight. Plus, a user here contacted me about a pair of headphones. And another friend has contacted me about a different pair.

So, all looks like it will go just fine!
