There are lots of free programs that do it and you can google it or wait for others to chime in with their favorite. Windows Media Player, WinAmp, iTunes, etc can do it too.

Since I rip my own CDs and edit audio, I use an audio editor - Sound Forge.

I use dBPowerAmp to transcode formats. I had to pay a little for it ($25 or something), but it's easy to use and it works every time.

I rip my CD collection to MP3 using Easy CD-DA Extractor - bought it several years ago and they always send me links to the new versions. poikosoft.com

I'd suggest Express Rip Plus which can rip to many different formats. I highly recommend the .flac format (free lossless audio codec). If you do rip to .flac, you will need a player that supports it. For this I reccomend foobar 2000. For just converting files there is the Switch Audio Converter which is part of the same suite as Express Rip Plus. All of these progs are free with an option to pay for an upgraded version.

CDex is another great free program, it rips to most common formats including flac. When using the paranoia mode it will reread every bit of data about 4 times to make sure there's no errors.

DRM is still a major problem in the online music and video industry. I hate DRM, and I’m sure 99% of the people reading this agree with me - DRM sucks. The only benefit is for the record companies, so that their music cannot be shared on file sharing/BitTorrent websites. It brings the user absolutely no benefits, and many drawbacks - including limiting what you can do with your music/video in almost every way possible. Whether it’s putting the file on your mobile phone, or wanting to use it on more than five computers.
Well for me simple and fast solution is Daniusoft software.

Hellow?
I'm using the wma to mp3 converter now. Cool, I don't need to be annoyed by DRM anymore, and I can do what I want after I bought the music from iTune.
It's indeed help.
