I have been trying to put together a system that I could enjoy for many years. With help from some and and advice from others I have made up my mind on what to get.

1. Arcam Diva AVR 300 Receiver.
I was blown away from this in person, and after some research into this item over the NAD. I feel it is a better choice for the money.

2. Paradigm Monitor Series 11.
OK I was going to get the Monitor 5's, but in the end I gave in a couple hundered more for the 11's.
Worth it, and worked very well with the NAD Receiver.

3. Paradigm CC-370 Center.
Well it just goes with the set.

4. Paradigm PW-2100 Powered Sub-Woofer.
This was the hard part for me between the modles, but the PW-2100 won in the end for me.

OK now on the rears I do not have the room for rears yet, but I will one day have the room for them.

As for now my next step is a new T.V. and this seems to be a bigger pain than all the rest put together. lol
So if anyone has any info on a good T.V. I'm listening to your advice.

And I'm looking for advice on a good DVD player, and a nice CD player. So any info on these itmes as well would be great.

Thank you to the people that helped me put this together and to the people that will help me figure out a T.V. and CD DVD player as well.

WOW! You made some very good choices. I think Denon gets the nod in the dvd department. It can be used as your cd player also, so a 5-disc unit would not be a bad idea. You know, for random tunes while kicking back! Or, for that Barney dvd that might-as-well be left in the player! :D

For the tv, I'd look at the Samsung HLP6163, a very good third-generation DLP set that is really cheap right now (OneCall has it for $3K delivered). Great picture, great features, I'm thrilled with mine. For the dvd, I'd recommend the Pioneer 578A. Don't let the low price fool you. I've had mine for three months, and I absolutely love it. It plays SACD, DVD-A, and it's only around $100! It will more than tide you over while the format wars are raging.

Hope this helps, JJ.

I have since made one more change to my hook up.

I read all the Neg problems with some newer NAD items, so I have changed the Receiver to a Arcam Diva AVR 300.

A little more money, but in the end a little more here is better than a little less in the end.

I thank you all for your replys and info.
But i'm still looking for more info on the items.

Thank you all.

I had the Monitor 3's before and liked them as well.
So this time around I just want more enjoyment from alll the products all around.

As for the T.V. I'm still lost between the flat or non flat, and the HDTV or the Plasma or LCD sets.
LOL, the T.V. part is a pain so far.

As for the CD player I'm going to get a good DVD Player to play music and movies for the moment.

As well as a 400 mega CD holder for the moment to play the normal odd and end music.

As I save to get a good CD and DVD player.

I chose flat because it can be seen from standing off to the side. :)
