a b switch for digital coax

used to use a/b switch for rg-59 and rg-6 coax to switch between tv and vcr ,,guess that pretty dated now ... do they make a similar switch for digital coax audio.......have looked at several cable companies on line but can't come with anything thanks

You should be able to use any composite video switch as there is no difference between a composite (RCA) video cable and a coaxial digital cable.

actually i am using the yellow of a composite cable from the optical to coax converter from the dish tv receiver and works great...thanks for reminding me...regular digital coax from the dvd,,works great

any idea where to get a small one ??? my search on web has found some expesive switchs,,,,i only need 2 input and 1 output....

Radio Shack seems to have turned up the most options in terms of size and price, some as low as $15 (though not sure what connection it supports). I'd probably start there. Partsexpress only turned up options over $100.

Thanks again warlord,,,,picked up a rca connector audio/video switch from radio shack this morn under 20 bucks......

hooked yellow video connectors to digital out on dvd and yellow to the optical to coax converter from dishtv satellite receiver.... i now have 5.1 dolby from both.....on the old bose lifestyle 12 series II

i would buy you a cold one if ever in rockport texas

am really ready for a new amp with all the decoders and a bluray..thanks
