I watched 9 last night. While the plot is a bit simplistic, visually it is absolutely stunning. I think I was more into the steampunk parts in it, the mixture of old with new. The gearing and stuff was really cool.

The movie does read like a manic depressives manifesto, but for it's short running time it is certainly worth the rental.

Recommended. Probably pretty scary on acid.

Story 6/10
Visuals 10/10
Sound 9/10

It is in my Netflix queue. Critical and friend reviews all said that it was pretty average story wise as well.

Yeah I really enjoyed this movie despite its rather depressing and dreary backdrop....

The visuals were truly stunning!!

I was kinda disappointed in it. It definitely LOOKED very good, but the story was a bit lame. It definitely wasn't a movie for kids though. It has some pretty scary imagery.

Well, unlike Meatballs, I agree with you on this one - It's like bad upscaling - you can't just take a short cartoon and make into full feature - and expect it to work magically.

I think I was more into the steampunk parts in it

I was really looking forward to this release last year. AFter I finally saw it I was a bit disappointed.

Definitely not a movie for kids, visuals were excellent by the way. I guess I need to read the original graphic novel, maybe.
