9.1 how to connect to the correct receiver outputs

I have a 5.1 setup now and want to go preferably to 9.1. My existing and new speakers are all in ceiling.

I am leaning towards the Yamaha RX‑A3060 or the Pioneer Elite SC-LX801 or LX901. Dolby recommends for 9.1 a "wide speaker" setting. Neither receiver has a "wide speaker" output instead having a Presence or Front Height output.

How would I use the extra two speakers and where would I attach it at the receiver? Any preferences on which receiver?

If you want front wide you need a receiver that does either dts x or audyssey dsx, with DTS x it's still going to depend on whether or not the manufacturer allows you to assign a front wide configuration.

If all of your speakers are in ceiling then you're gonna have a problem. None of the sounds in the main bed channels are supposed to come from overhead. An atmos configuration with all speakers in ceiling would completely destroy the imaging of atmos.
