8 ohm fronts and centers, 6 ohm rears on 8 ohm receiver--is this OK?

Have a bedroom HT system. Yamaha RX-V679 receiver, Polk Tsi100 fronts and CS1 center, and inexpensive Acoustic Audio subwoofer. Sounds fine. But I have a couple of cheap HTIB Yamaha satellites hanging around that I want to use as rears. But they're rated as 6 ohm. Can I use these without hurting the receiver?

It should be fine. The good news is that if it is a problem, the receiver will shut itself down. So you can’t really damage it.

Those will work but don't expect too much from HTIB speakers in your system.
