8 ohm / 4 ohm speaker mix question

Good afternoon, I have an Onkyo TX-RZ820 and currently run 5.1.2 using all 8 ohm speakers. The onkyo has two settings for impedance (4, 6) and I have it set to 6 ohm. I have found a great deal on a new center channel but it is 4 ohm and am wondering if using this CC would be detrimental to the receiver? Thanks,

The center channel speaker should be part of the same model line as the L & R speakers.
But anyway, unless you get carried away with full volume, everything will be just fine.

Left/Right are Paradigm monitor SE6000f
Surrounds are Paradigm monitor SE3000f
Height are in-ceiling Polk Audio
Center would be Elac UC51-BK

What sort of listening levels are we talking about here? The Paradigms sensitivity is pretty good, the Elac is a bit lower so will need more amp to keep up but as was said, doubt its much of an issue except at very high playback levels (and likely the avr would just go into a protective mode too). Why the Elac instead of another Paradigm?

I listen to music quite loud so I don't think this will work. I know someone that purchased the Elac and decided to go another way so he offered it to me for $70, it's not even used.

Your avr has pre-outs, too, to give you some flexibility on amp needs....
