75 Ohm Interconnect question

Some friend of mine is selling me a set of cables with WBT RCA true 75 Ohms interconnects. He says that these interconnects do make audible differences mostly in reduction of noise. I can understand the development of a true 75 Ohm connector for video applications but i'm not sure that this type of interconnect would make a difference in the audio spectrum.
Can I expect an audible difference using these types of interconnects?

Depends...if you had "crap" cables to begin with, then yes. If you have a quality cables then most likely no.

What JohnA said. 75 Ohm connectors on their own don't really mean much to your audio, because audio cables don't require 75 Ohms as part of their spec. As you noted already, they are of significance for video. WBT connectors are excellent quality, though that alone does not guarantee a quality cable.

Even if you used it on video or digital audio that needs a 75 ohm cable, the short length you are using will make the plug issue irrelevant. Even a coat hanger will transmit digital signals, and even 120V power cable will send video signals:

Check this out, particularly the length of cables used ;)

So, in the end, hope you are not paying much for those used cables ;)

Thanks for the replies. Those WBT connectors suppossed to be the latest technology that works, but i don't know. I guess i have nothing to loose for 50 bucks, including the cable.
