I have a media room with a layout which limits my options for speaker placement. Click this copy and paste this address in to your browser to view my proposed setup...

Will this work? I have a 106' screen with my components including projector mounted in the bookcase behind the sofa. As you can see in the diagram I have 4 towers 1 center and 2 bookshelf speakers. Any input would be great!

Am I seeing this right?

Do you want to have the surrounds in front of the listening position? If so, I recommend against that.

Where would you suggest I put them, based on available space? keep in mind that they are towers.

It doesn't look to me like tower surrounds are very workable in that room. My recommendation would be to use in-wall or in-ceiling surround and surround back speakers.

But if you want to keep what you have, you might try putting the towers on the back wall as the surround back channels with the bookshelf speakers on the walls to the right and left of the sofa facing the viewing position.
Or you could move the sofa closer to the screen to allow enough space to put the towers behind it, then move the bookshelf speakers to the back wall.

You definitely do not want surrounds in front of you. I would suggest skipping 7.1, going to 5.1 with the surrounds behind the couch. I don't think you will notice a huge difference in 5.1 vs 7.1

Agreed. IMO, those are your 2 best options.
