7.1 or ATMOS

Just bought Onkyo TX-NR737 set it up in 5.1 without spending so much money Am I better adding height speakers or back of the room for 7.1. I'm in a rental so I'm not putting them in ceiling just high up on front wall.

How far is your listening position from the rear wall?

from what I'm noticing not a lot of atmos movies out there

There is not a lot of Atmos content for now. I'd probably lean toward surround backs. There is more content and all Atmos mixes are 7.1 mixes to start. You also won't get as much of an Atmos effect with a 5.1.2 system with front heights.

that what I was leaning toward thank you just getting back into surround sound and ATMOS is big but I'm on a small budget
