Hello
first i would like to say i'm newish to home theater so to start i think i got a grab bag that sounds well but i am very unimpressed with my volume capabilities with music and was wondering if it is my reciever choice or speakers, movies sound ok to good. music not so well my setup is samsung hwc700 klipsch f3 fronts bose 501 and 301 rear and surround velodyne impact 12 sub it seems i dont have enough power to bring the f3s to life i was considering buying emotiva amp and processor or possibly marantz but if it is a speaker issue i would rather spend money there . i would also appreciate any input on a new sub i want to feel in my chest this entry level velodyne just flutters out at volume .my considerations on a sub were klipsch 120 or svs line should i save for the svs13 flavor or is it worth the extra ? ps i have this grab bag due to the deals i got on them any advice greatly appreciated
thank you

Not entirely sure what the problem is, but it can’t be the Klipsch. They are super-efficient and you can drive them to ear-bleeding levels with a mere 20-30 watts, if not less. I expect the problem is actually the Bose speakers. AFAIK they are decidedly inefficient, necessitated by the need to get deep bass from tiny woofers, and therefore take a lot of power to “move.”

As far as the sub, you can’t go wrong with any SVS you can afford.

No way it's a power problem with Klipsch speakers. You have a Bose problem. You could sell them and get much better surrounds.

Your Samsung surround receiver is a wimp in surround mode - it does not
have much power to give.

Your Klipsch should sound better to you, if you do not drive the Bose with
them. Are you playing music in the surround mode?

HSU, SVS and Outlaw audio have nice/good subwoofers

i am currently listening to music in stereo with sub also as just in stereo mode this reciever will not move the 8 inch drivers to produce any bass from the klipsch highs are great no low to mid and before someone asks yes they are wired correctly i would have to lean toward it is my reciever should i go seperates leaning towards emotiva unless someone can recommend a good surround reciever with good power output i will be replacing the bose from what you guys have advised and i will buy the klipsch surrounds rs52 thanks for input

Klipsch Synergy Speakers are not bass champions - and can be lacking in punch.
You also may be expecting too much from them speakers.

Also your room and set-up may or may not, be part of the problem.

You do need a good subwoofer

That Integra receiver seems to have some age on it - I would pay no more than $100.

Your call

I have a SVS sub PB-2000, very happy with it. You can't go wrong with a SVS sub.
