Yeah it seems good, I can only find the 757 at 2001 AudioVideo. $799.

Man, that ticks me off! Almost exactly one year ago, I paid $730 plus tax at the same store for the RX-V750! Almost two hundred bucks in savings, if I'd just waited one year.

Super guess I better not tell you what I just gave for my Yammie RX-V757. It would make you sick if I did. I must have gotten one heck of a deal! Oh well, this keeps us all in check. You know always looking for that next "Deal".

Same thing happens to me often supervij.
My receiver, t.v., digital camera, printer, dvd recorder, dvd's were cheaper a year or a few months after I bought them.

The one that really burned me is my tv. About six or so months after I bought it, there was a price drop(~$1000)including a free stand($700 value)and free sat or cable box .

I find that if I keep waiting, even up to a year with no special or price drop, I just give up and buy the product. Then weeks or months later the price drops. It always happens!

Hey BJ looks like you got a really nice set-up there. I love the Polk Rti series of speakers. Bet your system rocks. Just thought I would mention that. The deal I got on my Yamaha RX-V757 was in US dollars not sure what or how that equates to in Canadian money.

If you take the U.S. price and times it by 1.15, that will give you the amount in Canadian dollars.

I like my setup. It plays jazz real nice, not too good for rock though. I'm saving up for an amp(3 or 5 channel). My fronts and centre are demanding more power.

after first getting RX-V557, taking it back for the 7.1 657, sounded great
(paired with paradigm monitor 3, CC-370, PDR8 Sub (got it dirt cheap)
old sony towers using for surround for the time being.)
two weeks later I get a flyer in the mail addressed to the person who
previously owned my house, advertising VIP sales two days only where I bought my equipment (must have flyer to get the VIP price list) so I
get there to see if maybe I can get a set of speaker stands at a good price
and walk out with an RX-V4600 for $999 (Canadian)

$999 Canadian? With the 2600 retailing for about $1300 Canadian, I have my doubts about your deal. But if what you state is true, I'm happy for you and also jealous. That 4600 should sell for $1999.

here's a few pics of the VIP flyer for those in doubt and a pic of it sitting in my cabinet
and yes the Regular price on the 2600 was $1699. Cnd on sale for $1375.75 Cnd.
according to their VIP price list. I only really went back to get a price match on the 657
$475.75 on VIP sale (I paid $599.99 the week before) but the salesman pulled me aside and
just gave it to me straight...buy this now, before it's too late!!! and I have 475 days to pay for it
interest free (no fee's)
