6-ohm speakers and AV reciever selection

Time to upgrade my 2009 Yamaha HTIB to keep up with my new 4K TV. I'm looking at the Pioneer SP-PK52FS 5.1 Floorstanding Speaker System for audio in a 5.1 Home Theater setup. I notice this is a 6-ohm system, and most everywhere I read people talk only about 4-ohm and 8-ohm speakers.

Before I make final selection for receiver, are there any implications to consider for a 6-ohm speaker system?

I expect to spend no more than $600 on the receiver, and prefer a basic solid and quality unit over a leading edge box with Atmos, bluetooth, internet, and all the other "features" I will not use. The system will be used primarly for disc and internet movie viewing.

Thanks.

No problems. Any mainstream receiver will work fine for 6 ohm speakers.

Most receivers will have the features you described.

However, I would recommend spending less on the receiver and more on speakers.

What is your overall budget for receiver, speakers, and sub? Perhaps people can offer you suggestions which are a better bang for your buck.
