6.2.4 speaker layout

Hi all This might sound weird but should I stick with my 5.2.4 set up or try a single rear it allows it in my marantz 6014 amp and I have a single quality speaker but it would need to be positioned in the ceiling rear to the atmos speakers that are already ceiling mounted I can't do a full 7.2.4 as my sides have no option except in the rear pointing inward position I did try using my rear atmos speakers as sides but didn't like the effect any advice would be appreciated regards steve

I also would leave it as that speaker positioned that high would mix with the atmos layer and mess with your imaging and panning.

Sometimes its best to just with what works best in the room and not try to force extra
