Yea yea, I know its a horrible idea so you don't have to tell me that. Couple friends and I thought it would be fun mainly because we have a bunch of old speakers and an extremely lovely infinity kappa perfect 12.1d vq which we would like to hear. So the question about this is how to actually set this up!
The car speakers are not power hungry at all running at 25W each at 4Ohms (max of course)
The subwoofer is extremely power hungry and can handle up to insane amounts of power running at a dual 4Ohms, which I will probably actually only one coil instead of both.
I was planning on getting a receiver off craigslist which should easily power the satellites but the subwoofer is where I'm hitting a bit of an issue. I noticed on receivers that there is a subwoofer output and I was just curious on the many ways I could up the power on it for cheap.
Any ideas? We have car amps but form what I've read, that could get hairy... Thanks in advance!
