Hi fellas,

I have been researching and will be buying a 5.1 surround speaker system for my basement A/V room in Feb. 06'...

My basement A/V room is 12' x13' (pre-wired with monster cable) with berber carpet, 8' ceilings, painted walls, and an open hallway extending from the room dimensions. I will also have a 42" HD panasonic plasma, yamaha RXV2500 receiver, and an xbox 360 at that time.

I am highly considering purchasing the following 5.1 setup from Aperion:

(2) 532-LR bookshelves (fronts) = $360
(1) 532 - C (center - below plasma) = $180
(2) 632 - IW (rears - angled toward the listener)= $300
(1) Intimus S-8 (sub - placed in corner) = $280

I dig the aesthetics of the wood, need in-walls for rears (space), and have heard great things of the sound quality of aperion. However, given the size, dimensions, and equipment setup of the A/V room, does this sound like an excellent package for my audio (music, movie, tv, gaming) needs?

-Tiffany

PS Any further input?

You have asked this question already. Plus you have been warned already about double posting.

What gives ?

Sorry fellas

I know different people access different forums, so I am hoping to get additional feedback. I didn't realize it was as bad as you say...

PS $1000 is around the budget I have...and many others seem to think the aperions are quite excellent.

You have twice the receiver I have. My mains were $1000 pair. (on sale)
My rears were $1000 pair. (on sale)
My center was a $329. (on sale)
My sub was a little under $600. (on sale)

I just wouldn't shoot all that equipment down with low price speakers.

Sorry !!! Did not meant to sound so harsh.

The new SVS system is probably hands down the biggest bargain in HT packages. http://www.svsound.com/products-sys-sbs.cfm

Aperions are great speakers as well but in the situation you described the SVS system will image better on top of offering a far superior visceral impact with movies. The PB10 sub included in this package is probably the finest sub money can buy at its price point. Especially for movies.

Hope this helps.
