Gene,

Why haven't you guys reviewed any of the BIC line of speakers? I would like to see that.

I've gotta say, those are some nice looking speakers. I've never heard Bic speakers but I've read up on them based largely on Buckeye's raving over them and they seem to offer good quality at a very competitive price point. Am i wrong in thinking that this set up is similar in looks to a klipsch system? I think that if this system lived up the the specs and sounded good while it did it, then it could be a category killer.

#$!?#

Last evening, I posted a review of my Acoustech towers and center channel speaker. However, now, I check this thread and the review looks like it didn't make it.

In any regard, these speakers are "keepers." for me. I actually like them better than the Klipsch RF-35s and even the Axiom M22ti/VP150 combo.

The sound is "dynamic" as pointed out in the review. I'm not implying that these speakers will fit everyone's needs. However, over the past month, I've racked up $4,000 in credit card charges as I tried out various speakers. None of the others, well, impressed me as much as these. When I first connected them and tossed some music at them, I knew right then and there what kind of potential these speakers have.

The depth of these speakers is not as deep (size wise) as many of the others out there. However, the construction of them is quite solid. They arrived well-packed. I just wish Polk and Klipsch would take a few lessons from BIC/Acoustech on packing speakers.

I did have a chance to watch Bad Boys II last evening after connecting everything up. The front dialogue is perfect. In fact, I sold off my Polk RTi/CSi series because I felt that dialogue was weak during movies. However, the Acoustech speakers played through the movie without a hitch, and I didn't have to constantly adjust the volume to keep up with the dialogue.

I'll be sure to come back towards the end of this coming weekend and post any updates. By that time, I will have had a chance to log many more hours on these speakers and they should be better broken in by that point.

I totally agree with you. That last review I posted said he sold off his RTi and CSi's! Those are my damn speakers! Arrrgh. Anyhow, I also found out DR. Hsu designed the sub for these Acoustech's. Not a bad thing, eh?
