Please Help, Iam New At This? I Have A Panasonic 5.1 Dolby System. At What Settings Do I Set My -db/+db -10 To +10 For Each Speaker. Plus What Do I Set My Delay Number At, And What Speakers Am I Delaying? My Sub Says Min 1 To Max 20.

My Tv Is 15 Ft To My Sitting Area. My Rear Speakers Are Just To The Rear Of The Sitting Area Facing Each Other, 15 Ft Apart.

The Room Is 16 X 30, Everything Is In Front Half 16 X15.

Thanks For Any Help For This Newbe.

You need to get an spl meter to level out the signal so they all output the same volume at the listening position b/c its going to be different for every situation.

Whatsup,
The +/- 10 dB settings refer to the "volume level" of each speaker. To configure this, start with all speakers on Zero. Play a test tone or music on 1 speaker at a time. Adjust the +/- dB setting until the level is the same on all 5 channels.
Concerning the Delay settings, this compinsates for the distance from the seating area to the speakers. Using a tape measure, measure the distance from each speaker to the primary listening area. Enter the distance (feet) or delay time (1 millisecond = 1 foot) into the receiver.
Enjoy! :D
