4k pass through

Just purchased a 4k. I also have a Denon 1910 which does not pass 4k. Is there a way around

What will your source be?

My blu-ray player has an optical audio output as well as HDMI.
So I can feed hdmi to second input on TV and feed optical audio to AVR.

However, I don't know if 4K has other complications.

There also may be lip-synch issues with this approach!

Be sure your 4K BD player has two HDMI ports. Send one to the TV and the other to the receiver.

I had similar issues as well, but with 4K and 3D, bought a Oppo player, 2 HDMI's
