I saw 1 in the theater and I own the 3D, because it looked good at the time. It was pretty much a modern thrashing of Pocahontas. I watched 2. Visuals still feeling like the last one, not up to the best of today. So 3rd one will have a hard time convincing me.
Yeah, all 3 are like Pocahontas, just different settings. :D

I saw Netflix’s “Apex” 4K ATMOS.

Video looks great, shot in 4K+ digital.

Audio is actually good ATMOS, not FAKEMOS. I heard some good overheard effects.

I like the Story/Writing. The beginning starts out “differently” than usual movies, then becomes predictable 2 minutes later. Then the rest of the movie is back to being “different”. Overall I like it and I would rewatch this movie again.

Watched both Mercy with Chris Pratt and Crime 101 with Chris Hemsworth on Amazon Prime. I went in with ZERO expectations. Both were decent popcorn flicks. Nothing amazing. They were great for streaming. I would not have paid money to see these in theaters. I think they're worth a view. :)
I like both, but I like Crime 101 much better than Mercy.

I think Crime 101 feels “different” than other crime heists movies. It’s more PG, instead of R with a bunch of killings. I like hardcore crime movies, but there’s just a lot of that around. Once in a while it’s nice to see a “friendlier” and tamer crime movie. I was rooting for the 3 main characters - the main cop, the nonviolent robber, and the insurance lady. :D

Mercy was better than I expected, but I expected bad, so that's not saying much. It was decent. We have been moving and working on the house, so not a lot of TV time or movie theater time in the last 2 weeks. The TV is setup, just nothing else so far. Most of the gear is in boxes still.

*edit - ordered Fight Club 4K. I heard rumblings of complaints about AI changes made to it, however Fincher used the same AI to clean up Se7en, and that looked amazing so I will give it a shot. It should come Friday and I will be setting up the PS5 tonight. Will setup the 205 on or by Fri hopefully as well.

Oh I was so impressed with the PQ of Se7en.

I can’t believe I didn’t figure it out that they had used AI to make the old video look great.

So basically the real reason any of these older movies look so good (like “Se7en” and “Con Air”) is because of AI, not really because they kept the old films in “pristine” immaculate condition. :D

Haven't had a ton of time lately, and most of the system is still packed up. I threw in Fight Club 4K. It definitely looks better. The film overall was already mostly dark, so you have to watch with the lights dimmed for viewing, not unlike a lot of Se7en. Colors really pop and faces in focus shots, where you are looking at someone's face, look impressive. This was on the PS5 Pro. I have to dig the 205 out still; it is still plastic wrapped to some other boxes in the garage :(
