I must have missed the inclusion of RABOS, so that would make it a pretty good deal then. It's still -3dB at 25Hz, so it isn't going to have the same extension, even with RABOS.

3db difference, are you even going to be able to detect that difference?

A properly calibrated sub, with its own onboard parametric EQ, is far more important than mere 3db.

I bought this sub and it is very good, I have not yet messed with the rabos eq, but the sub is very clean and it goes way deep!! the matrix just shakes the room, mr. and mrs smith is just awsome with this sub. my room is 22 x14. It is a good deal from onecall.

Although it may not have the extension of the SVS PB10-ISD, this might be a very good option for someone that can't give up the space the PB-10 requires. For example:

SVS PB10-ISD: 18" H x 15" W x 21" D
CSW-10 - 14" H x 13" W x 15" D

That extra 4-6 inches might come in handy and the cherry version may be a bit more appealing in an open room layout. As far as it's response is concerned, straight from Infinity's website: 22Hz – 150Hz (– 3dB).

I'm sure YMMV in-room. This kind of extension, included with the R.A.B.O.S. equalization (which I've used myself with excellent results), is a good option in the $400-500 range... -TD

3dB at 20Hz is a much bigger difference than it seems. That's a 50% output difference and you will definitely be able to detect that, or the lack of, when it comes to movies; not so much with most music.

Then get 2. You will have output to 20, and it will be overall better.

Did anyone find any reviews on this sub? I have just ordered one from Onecall for $399 (new), seemed a great deal, tho' I'm freaking out a little about its capabilities. I can't say I'm an 'audiophile, I just like decent tunes that sound reasonable... well as good as my minimal budget allows. I brought a pair of Infinity Primus 360's for $399 (got a free set of Primus 150 book shelf speakers, seemed reasonable to me), okay... so it's not top dollar but the general reviews were good, and I thought good enough for me (a low bar it seems). Anyway for all the ranting and raving about the 360's on the internet, the bass is POOR, I mean there is no depth to the music at all. I was disappointed to say the least. I though I would get away without have to spend the extra $$$ ... it seems not. So I have one on order... I can let you know my thoughts when I get it (6th Jan), but would love to hear any views while I still have time to cancel the order (I hope not). Thanks for your time, Pete Mc

That was a surprise!

After reading your note I thought I may have made a horrible an error, but sure enough it was the same kit...... just up $100. I wonder if they made a mistake first time around, then banged the price back up. I guess good luck for me. Will let you know how it all goes. Pete
