4 Conductor vs 2 Conductor in Speaker Cables

Hey,

I'm new here but I'll probably be a frequent visitor. Here's my question:

I'm about to make up a bunch of 1/4" amp to speaker cabinet lines and the cable I bought has 4 conductors. I'm aware of how to wire this type of cable with either one or two conductors, but I can't find any diagrams for 4 conductors. Would it be the same as for a two conductor cable, but the extra red/black wires slapped on running to the same locations as the other red/black wires? I can post a link to a diagram if it helps (I would right now but my post count isn't high enough )

Any feedback is great... Let me know if I didn't explain this well enough

I don't know the answer, but I wanted to say that you can post the link to the diagram as long as you leave the "http://" part off. At least, I think that should work for you.

Same as two conductor.

However, it you want to in effect obtain a higher gauge wire you can use two wires together as one.

Caution: make absolutely sure you connect the same wires at both ends. If all four wires do not have separate colors then is is best to verify with a volt-ohm meter.

Thanks for the feedback. Interesting idea with the two-wire setup, I'll have to try that at some point.
